I'm super excited to be hosting pottery painting sessions at Duston Village Bakery on the first and last Saturday each month. Billy and Charlie worked incredibly hard to dismantle and move cabinets around to make a lovely area upstairs in the bakery ready for sessions starting next Saturday! 11th January 2026 |

Workbridge closure
|
It's beyond sad to find out that after many years of providing vocational opportunities and training for people with mental health needs, St Andrew’s Healthcare is closing Workbridge cafe, garden centre, cabins and creative studios. The last trading day will be 23rd December. I have a few sessions booked in November and December, and these will be going ahead as normal. I'll miss being at Workbridge and I know it will be sorely missed by customers, service users, staff and volunteers alike. I was there today and it was really busy - please do continue to support Workbridge until Christmas.

Northampton Museum Book Fair

Northampton Museum Book Fair was buzzing all day! HUGE thank you to everyone who came along and visited my stall.
I chatted with lots of happy customers, old and new friends, and with my talented trader neighbours. Oof!... it's hard work having fun - but I'd do this fair again in a heartbeat! I hadn't visited the museum before and I'm really looking forward to it exploring properly soon. 30th October 2025 |

Northampton Balloon Festival

The HUGEST thank you to everyone who visited my stall at Northampton Balloon Festival over the long weekend. It was really lovely to meet and chat with you and I hope you're delighted with the goodies that you Bagsied.
It was my first visit - and what a massively impressive and fun-filled event it was. I sold bits of everything, which is makes me beyond happy and chatted with so many people who loved the idea of painting pottery at Workbridge! It was a splendid day (despite fickle weather) at Northampton's Makers Market yesterday! It was fabulous meeting so many happy customers and seeing you having a go at painting ceramics!

Up, up, and away!

Northampton Balloon Festival is proper spectacular! This annual three day event has so much going on - hot air balloon displays and balloon rides, live arena entertainment, funfair, circus workshop, birds of prey, trade stalls and fireworks, refreshments... I'll be there in the Northampton Makers Marquee alongside a fabulous selection of local talent!

Northants Makers Market

Come and check out this wonderful new makers market! In the old town centre of Northampton in the newly-refurbished market square there are lots of lovely stalls showcasing the best local talent! Have a go at painting ceramics - and bring your dog to get their paw print cast in clay :)

Duston Family Fun Day was Fab!

What a wonderful day we had at Duston! The playing fields behind The Cottage were transformed into a hustly bustly event - it was great fun and a credit to the council who organised it all. There were so many happy people and we were entertained all day with live music and acts. I don't know why my photo shows grey skies - it was blisteringly hot - proper ice cream weather!

New kiln day!!!

'The shed' as we affectionally call it, is beginning to look a little like a studio. My new kiln (yet to be named) arrived on Saturday and it's already whirring away on its first firing. I'm super-excited to transform this former workshed into my new creative kiln room!

We are marathon runners!

Paris Marathon was vraiment fantastique! 🎉 I ran with youngest daughter Lizzie and friend Clare (and 57,000 other runners) and we made the most of every single minute and our smiling cheek muscles ache **almost** as much as our legs today. The support was amazing all the way and there were timpani bands, jazz bands and rock singers encouraging us to run and dance at the same time - and we did 😁 The route was beautiful and there were light shows and banners in the tunnels and locals cheering us on with glasses of beer! We are marathon runners!!! 💪🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️

Family Fun Day

There's going to be lots going on at East Carlton Country Park Family Fun Day on 25th May - Dog show and agility, kid's activities, delicious food and refreshments - and exhibitor stalls.
