This conversation-starter of a handbag has been built from from a new paperback book. The cover is inky-blue-grey with extracts from the final chapter ghosted on the front.
I've secured the paper cover onto boards and covered them with clear film, added metal book corners and metal book feet and added tortoiseshell resin handles.
The book measures 128mm x 198mm x 58mm and will hold a small purse, keys and a stream-of-consciousness. There's an internal pocket for a mobile phone tucked under a padded flap and another pocket for cards. It closes with a button (will vary) on a tab and fabric loop. It's lined with the cotton fabric of your choice from a selection emailed when your order comes through.
